This page says what TraderNSYT collects about you, where it is kept, who else handles it, and how to have it deleted. It covers this website, the Mac app and the phone app.
Who runs TraderNSYT
TraderNSYT is not a company. It is run by one person, Adam Tokola, doing business as TraderNSYT. He is based in New York, in the United States. On this page, "we" and "us" mean that person.
You can reach us at support@tradernsyt.com. Email is the only way to reach us; we do not publish a postal address.
TraderNSYT is for people aged 18 and over.
What we collect on this website
Your email address, if you join the waitlist. You type it into the form and it goes to Loops, the company that keeps the list and sends the emails.
If you came here from a link we posted, that link may carry a short label naming the post it was on, something like tiktok-04-weakest-hour. We keep it beside your address so we can tell which posts were worth making. It describes the post, not you.
Page visit counts. This website runs a small script from Vercel, the company that hosts it, called Vercel Web Analytics. It counts page views. Vercel says it may record, with each view: the time, the page address, the page you came from, the country, region and city worked out from the request, your device type, its operating system and your browser. Vercel says it does this without third-party cookies, that it tells visitors apart by a short-lived code made from the request and thrown away after 24 hours, and that the counts are not tied to a person or to an IP address. You can read Vercel's own description at vercel.com/docs/analytics/privacy-policy.
Ordinary request logs. Like any web host, Vercel records the address of the computer asking for a page, the browser it used, and when.
This website's own code sets no cookies.
What we collect in the app
Your account. Your email address. Your password goes straight from the app to Supabase's sign-in service. It does not pass through our server and it is not in any of our own tables.
Your trades. When you connect a broker, we receive through SnapTrade your orders and other account activity, the name of your broker, and for each account its type and a masked account number. When you import a file from your broker, we receive what is in the file. We keep what arrives as it arrived, and we keep the trades we build from it. You can also type trades in yourself.
What you write. Journal entries, notes and notebooks, photos you attach, your playbooks and setups, your rules and your answers to them, and views you save.
Your settings. For example the account size you enter so the app can work out risk.
A record of the app's own work. When a broker sync runs, we record that it ran and how it ended. The app also sends our server short notes about how it is used, such as "a note was saved" or "the analytics page was opened". These are counts. They are written to the server's log, not to the database, and they do not carry your name, your email, your trades or what you wrote.
The server's log. Our server also writes one line to its log for each request the app makes: the network address the request arrived from, what was asked for, and whether it worked. What was asked for can include a symbol, a date range, or words you searched your journal for.
On your own device. The app keeps you signed in by storing a sign-in token on your device. On the Mac it also keeps notes you have not sent yet and a copy of some figures so pages open faster.
We do not ask for your payment card. TraderNSYT is free during early access.
What you send us
If you write to support, we keep your message and our reply for 24 months after your question is closed.
What we use it for
To run your journal: to keep your trades and your writing, to work out your figures, and to show them back to you on your devices.
To sign you in and to send you the emails listed below.
To keep the service working and fix it when it breaks.
That is all. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Where it lives and who else handles it
We use other companies' services to run TraderNSYT. Each one handles only what its job needs.
Supabase runs the database and sign-in, and sends the emails for confirming your address and setting a new password. Your account, your trades, your writing and your photos are stored there.
The person who runs TraderNSYT can open the database, so he is able to see what is in it. He looks at an account's data only to fix a problem you have reported or to keep the service working.
Render runs our server, the program that works out your figures. Your data passes through it, and it keeps the server's logs.
SnapTrade makes the connection to your broker. You sign in to your broker in a window that SnapTrade and your broker run, not one of ours. TraderNSYT never sees your broker password and does not store it. We give SnapTrade an identifier for your account, not your email address. SnapTrade gives us a key for your connection, which we store encrypted, and through it your trades and account information. The connection we ask SnapTrade for is read-only. It cannot place, change or cancel a trade. Our own software contains no instruction to do so either. SnapTrade's own privacy policy covers what SnapTrade holds.
Loops keeps the waitlist and sends the waitlist's emails. If you joined the waitlist, it holds your email address.
Vercel hosts this website and counts page views, as described above.
Google Workspace carries our support email. If you write to us, your message is kept there.
Supabase, Render, Loops and Vercel keep this data in the United States. If you are writing from somewhere else, your data will be handled there.
Flo, the assistant, is not open to users today. Nothing of yours is sent to an AI company. We do not use your journal to train AI models, and we will not without asking you first. This page will be updated before Flo opens.
How we protect it
Each account can read and change only its own rows in the database. Photos are in a private store. The key for your broker connection is stored encrypted. Your password never passes through our server.
These measures are there to keep other people out. They do not keep out the person who runs TraderNSYT, who can open the database as said above.
No system is perfectly safe, and we do not claim ours is.
What we don't do
No advertising. No advertising trackers. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
We do not hand your data to anyone for their own use. There are two exceptions.
If the law requires it. If a court or a government body with the legal power to demand it orders us to hand over information, we will hand over what the order requires and no more, and we will tell you unless the law forbids it.
If TraderNSYT is sold, passed on or closed. If TraderNSYT is ever sold or passed to someone else to run, your data would go with it under this same page, and we would tell you by email first so you can delete your account if you prefer. If TraderNSYT closes, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email where we reasonably can, so you can save what you need.
Emails you get from us
If you have an account: an email to confirm your address or to set a new password, when you ask for one. We may also email you about your account or about a significant change to our terms or to this page.
If you joined the waitlist: one email to confirm your address, and one when TraderNSYT opens. We may write once more if something changes that would matter to someone waiting, such as a long delay.
Keeping and deleting
We keep your account and your journal for as long as you have an account.
To delete your account, open Settings in the app — on the Mac or the phone — and delete it there. If you cannot get into the app to reach Settings, write to support@tradernsyt.com from the email address on the account.
Deleting removes your account and your journal: your trades, what arrived from your broker or your files, your notes, your photos and your settings. It also takes your email off our list at Loops, if it is on it. It is permanent, and it happens at once on our side. We cannot bring a deleted account back. What we keep is the day it happened, the kinds of data that were removed, whether each outside step finished, and the identifier SnapTrade had for the account so we can confirm the link is removed — it holds no name, no email address and no password.
We ask SnapTrade to remove the link to your broker, and SnapTrade removes it on its own schedule. For anything on SnapTrade's side, contact SnapTrade's support — its contact page is dashboard.snaptrade.com/contact-us, and its own privacy policy is at snaptrade.com/privacy-policy.
What can remain: backups of the database are made once a day and kept for up to eight days, so a backup can still hold your trades and your writing for up to eight days after a delete. Photos are not in those backups, so a deleted photo is gone at once.
Logs. The server's logs are kept for no more than 30 days.
The waitlist. Every waitlist email has an unsubscribe link, and it works at once. If you would rather we deleted your address entirely, write to support@tradernsyt.com and we will remove it and tell you when it is done. If you joined the waitlist and never opened an account, we delete your address 12 months after TraderNSYT opens.
You can remove a broker connection in the app at any time. That stops new trades arriving. The trades already in your journal stay until you delete them or your account.
Your choices and rights
See it. Almost everything we hold about you is on your own screens in the app. If you want to know what else we hold, ask.
Correct it. You can change your notes, your settings and your trades in the app. For anything you cannot change yourself, write to us.
Get a copy. The app has no export button today. Write to us and we will send you a copy of your data within 30 days, as files you can open in a spreadsheet.
Delete it. As described above.
Depending on where you live, the law may give you these rights and others. Wherever you live, write to support@tradernsyt.com from the email address on your account and we will do it.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
TraderNSYT is for adults. You must be 18 or over to use it. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
If this changes
We will change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless the law or a security problem requires us to act sooner.
